Tryambakam Mantra

 The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra
literally: "the great (Maha), death-defeating (Mrityunjaya) mantra" is contained as energy in the Lemurian Essence No. 18 "Turquoise". It is also called Tryambakam Mantra, is a verse from the Rigveda (7.59.12) and one of the most famous mantras of Hinduism.

It is used as a protection, healing and peace mantra. It can also be chanted for the deceased, to give them strength to let go better, and to comfort the relatives. The Om Tryambakam mantra is also a moksha mantra, i.e. a mantra that leads to liberation.

OM Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan
Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat

The Mantra is:

त्रयम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् |
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ||
(Om) trayambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam
urvārukam-iva bandhanān mṛtyor-mukṣīya māmṛtāt

Word-by-word translation:

tri three
ambā f. Mother, among others a name of Durgā
try-ambaka 'three-mouthed', later interpretation: three-eyed, designation of Śiva
yajāmahe (yaj) we sacrifice; we meditate
su Prefix: good
gandhi smelling of something, a kind of perfume
su-gandhi good-smelling
puṣṭi f. growth, strength, well-being
vardhana increasing
urvāruka a kind of cucumber
iva like; bandhana n. binding, here: stem
mṛtyu m. death
mukṣīya (muc) I would like to detach myself
me
mta deceased
a-mta 'not deceased,' immortal, immortality, nectar of immortality.

We sacrifice to Tryambaka, the fragrant one, the one who grows well-being. Like a cucumber (detaching) from the stem, I want to detach from death, not from immortality.

Translation by the Dalai Lama:

I meditate on and surrender myself to the divine being who embodies the power of will, the power of knowledge and the power of action.

I pray to the divine being who manifests in the form of fragrance in the flower of life and who is the eternal nurturer of the plant of life.

Like a skilful gardener, may the God of Life release me from the binding forces of my physical, psychological and spiritual enemies.

May the God of immortality take up residence in me, free me from death, decay and disease and unite me with immortality.
